This article will show PCBA of Lumiax Max30-EU PWM solar charge controller, and to judge it from professional position.

First, this is the PCBA of the controller. The most important is that FETs are securely fixed to heatsink, which can insure the heat from FETS can be well dispatched. Also Busbars connect high current paths, which will keep PCB well. With 63V and 50V capacitors from Samyoung, good brand and high voltage for 12/24V system. High capacity of capacitors will insure the solar charge controller long life span, which is very important for solar charge controllers, also for other electrical appliances.

Second, we do some protections testing, including high temperature, overload PV input, overload output, high and low battery voltage, high and low PV voltage, load short circuit, reverse polarity connection at PV input and batter output; the controller can protect itself very successfully. It is very wonderful.

Third, do some functional testing. Like PWM frequency, it is 30HZ rampup and rampdown, which is good range. Also do some testing about voltage and current measurement, the result is very reasonable, at very good range.

The most important testing is that doing the temperature testing, which can know whether this controller can work well at 100% standard condition. We charge at 30A and discharge at 30A, the temperature is at 50 ℃ stably. This is very excellent! We have tested other brands, some temperature rising is very high, like 55℃, some will play tricks, began to decrease the charging current to decrease the heating production. Also you can see that the heating sink board is very good, the MOSFET are fixed very tightly on the board, which is good design.
